Dolls for my drawers

These pics arn't great quality, but I ran to grab my camera while the sun was setting yesterday to capture these little paper girls Imani drew, cut out and glued to each individual drawer of her dresser to:
"help me remember which one hold the long sleeves, which one the dresses, the skirts etc"

I was told this is a little baby boy wearing pjamas"
for the pjama drawer.

I love the inner workings of this smart girl's brain,
and the luck I have to be her mama and be able and witness it.
Have a great weekend

Another Christmas

Another Christmas shopped for, baked for, wrapped up and eagerly anticipated.
This one had us all up by 5am as predicted, stocking were full, and EVERY SINGLE piece of  sweet eaten before noon, i mean every piece. Candy canes, maple candy, chocolates galore went into poor tummies. Wowza, ick.
(everything except the walnuts and oranges of course)
Next were the presents, and here I give you,
as I do every year a bit of the kids xmas toy haul:

can you see how pitch dark it still was outside?
both the big kids got real bathrobes
beautiful new wool hat from auntie kezia
Tegu blocks
Mr badger for baby M

stamp dots, a big hit with all of them but i find myself capping and recapping them endlessly already, grr
 little suitcases for Imani

easel!
Z announces his favorite present: rubber band guns!
more fun with blocks
and Mr and Mrs rabbit, all wool,
new friends

this little gem that santa actually answered!

I'm sure there was more, its all a blur now of ribbon and wrapping paper, too much sugar
and utterly exhausted parents.
Merry Christmas, until next year.
