 These kids chose and put together their "costumes" if you can call them that, and this mama was just fine with it, no gimmicks, no fuss, happy kids

Punkins' and almost Halloween

 Can you believe Halloween is almost here? my kids are pretty darn excited, this year they have chosen and put together their own outfits, except baby M, who is still malleable, and not yet opposed to being put in cute and slightly ridiculous one pieces. We have already carved out punkins', and have been lighting them at night and watching their scary faces glow.
Baby M is fascinated with them.

A crochet snake

I got inspired to make a stuffed knit snake from the one they are selling at Land of Nod.

Most of the time is is so much more rewarding to you and your children to make their toys yourself.

I used a blend of cotton and wool yarn, and stuffed it with wool batting.

please excuse my sons runny nose. It has been dripping for days and we cant seem to muster the motivation to keep wiping it....

This boy in the fall

Do you ever yell to one of your kids :

"Stooop! hold it right there, i'm running for my cameraaa!! dont mooove!!"

Well I do it, like a lot, 

like this day, when poor Z was innocently taking out the compost in the yard, which happens to be right next to this amazing vine.

Good thing he waited for me to go fetch it, holding the compost bucked behind his back
