Anyone who knows me knows I love coffee filter crafts,
something about the delicate yet strong translucent papery ness, the affordability! I could go on and on, I saw something similar on the www and decided this years valentines for all our beloveds would be painted coffee filter heart strands.
First we painted the damp filters with liquid watercolors:
glorious bright colors, drying in the sun
busy at work, with no pants on for malawi
The next day I folded them in eights and cut into heart shapes
the kids got to punch holes, so satisfying, and then there is all that confetti!
stringing the hearts with bakers twine
Ta-da
sticking one heart to each little bag with the heart strands inside, ready to be handed out
On his way to school
If you are on the receiving end of one our our valentines be sure to hang them in a window where the light makes them dance and glow! they are so beautiful.
Imani will be giving hers out next week, poor thing, she is sorry to have missed this one, she loves valentines oh so much.
