Babe in a Basket

 When we took baby M on his first trip to Panama last summer I had no idea where he was going to sleep, so I scoured the artisan market in the city, and came upon this beautiful Moses basket made from river reeds in RED GOLD and GREEN, i had the  base built with mangrove sticks and jungle twine
                                                          'twas a beauty to behold

baby M, 4 months old, loved lying out there and listening to the birds in the coconut trees

                                and this is our amazing deck, high up in the trees

                                                           yawning and blowing bubbles

Again today, I need a good reminder of why exactly we are living where we are.....

Crochet embellished hoodie

I saw something along these lines on Etsy, and decided to make a similar version for baby M

using an inexpensive cream colored cotton hoodie from Target

as you can see baby M was NOT much in the mood for pictures, 

but im happy with the results!

A skirt for Imani

I found this little black cotton ruffle skirt, super simple, 

and decided to embellish it with crochet trim

RED GOLD GREEN

blanket stitch to start,embroidery cotton, and trying to find the time to actually do this!

In Autumn

They're coming down in showers,
The leaves are gold and red;

They're covering the little flowers,



 And tucking them to bed,                       
They've spread a fairy carpet                          
All up and down the street;
And when we skip along to school,
They rustle 'neath our feet.

I made baby Malawi these little leg cuffs

 Crocheted with embroidery thread, and I included 3 whole pictures! because I know what you are really looking at are the chubby brown rolls ♥
