More prints and patterns doodling

Had some time to doodle with liquid watercolors while my family was readying the garden for spring planting, Sugarpeas! it has been so warm and springlike.

Sometimes when I doodle I imagine myself commissioned to create fabric patterns for giant chain stores, then we are rich, and we pay off our house and travel around the world.

Linen rainbow pillow

Whipped this up over the weekend, I have some leftover cream linen from the cloud and raindrops mobile, and wanted to try and make this cute pillow, which is similar to one being sold at Land of Nod.

This company bothers me because of their crazy prices, but sometimes inspires me to replicate some of their very handmade feeling pieces at a fraction of the cost!

Saturday's

Every single saturday of every single month we wake up and have pancakes,while daddy stays in bed groaning with fatigue.

  Then we each take our wicker basket of dirty clothes from our rooms down to he washing machine and dump it out, mom runs about 60 washes on saturdays, fun

Then daddy gets up and sweeps the whole house, top to bottom, while mom waters our 800 house plants. 

The big kids windex the windows, whilst complaining.

But what marks our saturday tradition more then anything is this,

Our saturday lunch/all day meal:

Grits or rice with butter and soy sauce

Chard or kale

Red lentils cooked with butter, shallot, cumin a dash of tomato sauce and chicken broth (the turkish way)

Avocado and sweet potato on the side, sometimes tomato salad.

Its soo good.

The kids hate it.
