Halloween journey

At the waldorf school, has been a tradition in our family for many years, long before they actually started attending.
We still enjoy trick or treating and all that jazz, but this is a magical start to the evening

Imani made this real wool pumpkin at school today:

Gorgeous sunset to guide us home
Happy halloween!

Yarn Bombing

Isnt as violent as it sounds!
Wikipidia: yarn bombing is a type of graffiti or street art that employs colorful diplays of knitted or crochet yarn or other fibre, it is about reclaiming and personalizing sterile man made cold public places, and beautifying your surroundings"

Well....in that spirit I have yarn bombed my mailbox!  enjoy

Pumpkin carving

Finally! say my kids
lucky for us all our little carving party is an annual family affair

Top ho ho ho pumpkin is Imani's, she requested a round nose and gappy teeth, then insisted on pulling one out.
Zions is strange and looks like a crooked cat , but he's very proud he carved it alone
Star pumpkin is mine: made with a cookie cutter and a hammer, cookie cutter destroyed in the process.
Happy Halloween!
