Imani and the Austrian Copper rose

Our neighbors have this amazing rose, it is 12 years old and is an austrian copper, it makes the most beautiful red/orange/gold blossoms, I had to buy a bush for our yard, and take as many pics of Imani and it as I could.

If you are wondering why Imani looks so mad/sad, well yesterday she cut off pretty much half the right side of her hair on  playdate, good times. I might have gotten a little upset with her....

Flag garland for a secret hideaway

There is a secret nook in our yard, its not so secret unless you happen to be a little person sitting inside, surrounded by green bushes and weeds. Sometimes there are little chairs in there, sometimes pillows.

I made a flag garland to drape over the entryway yesterday, out of some thicker canvas type fabrics

THIS happened yesterday

I came out to the garage, to find my husband had assembled a motley crue to help him paint it.

Pretty much the cutest thing ever, they were all  dressed in his oversized paint shirts, with earnest little looks on their faces and putting in a valiant effort .

Not pictured here is their father sitting back doing absolutely nothing (aah, supervising, he called it)

They worked really hard, it was adorable, Steve will have to go back over everything,

 but we are so proud of them.
