What's making us happy

I has been hot and sunny and very summer-ish this week, we are enjoying it all,
the kids had a two hour soak and splash in their pool

Our buckeye tree is in  its full shady glory, adorned with paper lanterns we like to light in the dark, and sit underneath
little plum tree, one year old and bearing fruit
white iris and our planters, all filled up
pear tree and rainbow flags
purple flox
latest flea market find, this gorgeous vintage love seat, still deciding on fabrics for cushions
framing our favorite photos
popsicle time!
new plates for M's snacks
a new plant: i carefully choose and consider any new plants that make it to our home, they are like babies to me, i want to really love them, like this little umbrella tree, so vibrant
golden books revised, little black sambo in a way cooler, multicultural (and polically correct) version
gorgeous illustrations
our bubbling fountain! so blessed to have this
planting and more planting...
Imani's baby she finally finished, every year the children get to make a baby from scratch and all by hand, they choose everything, and sew it themselves, and when they are finished they are born!, then they get to name them.  I love little "Annabelle" so much ;)
this gorgeous new baking dish, incentive to cook?
making gaspacho on a hot hot day
evening cooldown, digging out weeds
baby sunflowers on their way
shouldering this tired little guy

I have been happily gardening mostly, so please forgive my lack of crafting,or blogging or doing much of anything else of note, it is also the kids last couple days of school,
which fills me with both happiness and dread....
Have a great day
