Imani's many occupations

Miss Imani is a busy and creative little girl.
When she is not occupied pestering her brothers,
she is drawing, coloring, practicing numbers,
painting, making tissue paper dolls, and
copying text from books then running to come show me: "what does this say mom?"
Her favorite, creating entire little illustrated storybooks that she makes her dad write the words for in spanish.
Sometimes I remember to photograph some of her drawings.
I like the expression on this romantic couple,
that appear to be on a train track in outer space.

"little girl alone in the green forest" (with a wolf hiding behind the tree, duh!)
the biggest craze however, is finger knitting,
it must be a developmental milestone for 6 year old girls or something
She sits for hours creating long colorful ropes of real alpaca or merino wool, a perfect winter job
but what to do with all that rope?
we had a perfect idea, sew it together to make a purse.
                  I helped her.
                                                                        purse, ta-da!
It then became a baby carrier for Naaima, among other things

Girl after my own heart.
Wishing you a great Sunday.
