Cornrows and catching octopus

Still life with lychee.
Here they are called mamon chino, and are sold at a dollar for a giant bag.
 mmh
we are drying bougainvillea flowers to take home

looking for Lynn to comb our hair
Lynn has combed my children for yeaaars, her fingers are magic and fairly fly over their heads, its a beautiful thing to watch, and puts me to shame for sure, best part: she is so gentle, they dont mind at all
a beautiful thing

we motivated to go catch seafood, leaving Imani home to play with the neighbor endlessly cooking in her little house
jungle ways
roots, and that sweet little face

pieces of brain coral
this little guy is so companionable

Z was having fun putting his finger in a hermit crab shell and letting it pinch him

boys
Daddy found a little octopus, see the ink on Z's hand? I threw it back in, too small
He also collected a bag full of whelk shells, these have been eaten here for generations, they are stewed in  rich coconut milk with lots of spices, I think they must have some amazing minerals because he longs for them, but I have a not so great memory of throwing them up violently while pregnant with Z here
we picked an orange along the way, just like that, and M is busy sucking the juice

this picture makes me laugh, both boys bathed sea, then got out and it started to rain and they got cold, here Z is wearing daddy;s shirt, and M zions

I should mention that Z has crazy skills for diving and finding octopus hiding in the rocks, he found this one
Today Hubby will be cooking all this seafood
have a great day, its friday!
