Another week

Another week another batch of photos, there has been so much, and so little going on.
Little because we just go nowhere during the summer, hubby works long hours, we don't have family to visit across the states, we are just here, playing in the yard and at the pool, complaining about the heat, and willing ourselves to enjoy the last weeks at home before school starts (and secretly counting down the days: ahem)

                                                                                 Painting feathers
making peach pie with  farmers market peaches
grilling zucchini
Zi has been busy at the creek collecting specimens for his
"wild animal habitat" aka our plastic pool.
Much to my delight this one got away in the yard.
the tramp, site of many fights, stargazing and attempted front and back flips
Catalpa tree we put i on the left, thriving, and our little tiny pear tree we planted last year on the right. Laden with 5 pears
sunroom at golden hour, looking all "vintagey"
the orders continue...this sweet set is off to a nursery in Washing state
our sunflowers: I didn't plant a single one this year, though I yanked out many.
Still we are abundant with them.
8 feet tall
made a new hat for papa,  then this kid took it

she is busy teaching herself to write and read, notebook always under one arm
tired. So tired.
We have also been eating a lot of THIS from our garden
and finally: a toddler on a Turkish pillow

Wishing everyone a great weekend
